The fourth annual Charleston Fashion Week is looking for Southeast designers (SC, NC, GA, KY, FL, VA and TN) for their Emerging Designer Competition. The competition seeks to discover new talent and give lesser-known designers an oppportunity to showcase their work.

To enter the Emerging Designer Competition, the designer must fall into one of the following categories: currently designed their own label/company for less than two years, designs for a hobby or part-time job or currently studying fashion design. Applicants will be asked to complete an application form, submit sketches of four garmets, upload photos of two completed garments and submit a designer photo and 2-5 video about themselves. Designs should be appropriate for Spring 2010, and entries must be receive by Friday, October 23 at 11 p.m.

The 2010 Emerging Designer will win $1,000, a $15,00 website by F22 Designs, a free runway show at Charleston Fashion Week 2011, a booth at AmericasMart and more to be announced.
